The capitol of Montana!
~
We met up with Shane's family here for a fun, short weekend! At least some of us were able to have fun. Poor Elizabeth was stuck inside the hotel attending a medical conference.

This was the scene right outside our hotel! Beautifully done isn't it?! Being a Landscape Architect, I was in awe over this place! Checking everything out, interpreting the design, seeing the design in plan view in my head etc... I thought this place was very well done!
Checking out the sculptures
The waterfall...
Yikes... what's this? (Shane signing "WOW")
Yes... we enjoyed a new flavor of ice cream everyday! It was so delicious, we couldn't stop with just one.
Kara and Shane, the discoverers.
Canyon Ferry Lake
There were plans to have a ski boat rented, but they fell through. So... we found someone to take us out on his sail boat.
Kara and I took advantage of the sun, while the boys chatted it up with the skipper and received a few tips on how to sail a sail boat.
The skipper and his friend had a short race. The friend won!!!
The Kleppen's and our skipper
After we got cleaned up, we headed over to the college for a symphony concert. There were 18,000 people sitting on the lawn. So this was the scene hours before the concert! Everyone had to come stake down their plot of land!
It was a beautiful evening! Good music, a beautiful sunset, and a firework show to top it off!!
Seems like the sky was giving us a firework show of color!
