Friends

The kids and I are spending a little time in Idaho while my handy husband finishes all of our remodeling projects on our house.
And so....
We went walking one day and I
think they have finally reached a stage
in their short little lives where they
actually appreciate each other.
These pictures show a little love...

Come over here...lets check the mail.
I think I can, I think I can.
No luck sister?
Maybe little brother can help get the mail box open. Nope, I'm not tall enough either.
Onto something else.
Discovering their shadows.

It was fun to walk behind these two and watch their love for each other grow.  Kinley is so good at just following along and doing what his big sister is doing.  Whew! I'm glad they are becoming friends.

March continued....we celebrated.

My dear, sweet, grandparents have had the privilege of celebrating 60 years of marriage.  Its unbelievable to me how young and agile the still seem!  They spend their summers on their homestead in Idaho, and fly south to Arizona for the winter.  Grandma does a fair amount of shopping and golfing, while grandpa is content to golf every day.
Due to some extensive planning and organizing, grandpa and grandma's entire immediate family, and very close friends and relatives, were able to join them in celebrating their anniversary in sunny Arizona.

Making bouquets for the center pieces
Attire: Shades of grey and pink
 They looked pretty cute!
Everyone before lunch began with Grandpa in the center.
 Cousins
 Gotta wear shades!
Most of the grandkids singing "Tell me the story of Jesus"
Rob Newman telling stories from his childhood.
 Sweet Kalia
 Precious photos
 Musical entertainment
It was hard for the little ones to sit still during the reception....so we let them do a little exploring.
 Or... in Kinley's case...eating dirt.
 Singing Amazing Grace
My mom made the cake.  I did not get a picture of it since my kids were taking a nap during the cutting of the cake.  But....We heard from many that they had second and third helpings of cake (even Kalia and I fall into this category).  It was so delicious.
Well, it certainly was a privilege to get to be in grandpa and grandma's Arizona home and to be a part of the celebration.  I grew up just a few miles from my grandparents and I have many wonderful memories with them.  And I am thankful that since leaving home, I still see them several times a year and the memories with them continue.  We wish them many more happy years together!
We love and cherish you Grandpa and Grandma!

March...

 Did it really even happen?
I can't really even remember! So much happened in March that my brain has forgotten a lot of what went on.  We had a lot of company, a lot of indoor days due to record rain fall, and well....just a lot of life going on. I took very few pictures but, this is the little that I have.

Kinley was patiently watching Kalia play the Kindle...too cute.
My friend Nicole stayed with us before catching a flight to Hawaii, and Kalia wanted baby Vanessa to watch her play her Kindle.  She thinks Vanessa is pretty sweet!
Building a Duplo tree house with daddy
Grandpa Curtis built this tower for the kids to knock down.  I was able to stall them long enough to get a picture.  But, it was oh so tempting!
We took the kids to the Aquarium with G&G Kleppen while they were visiting.  Kalia still talks about it.  So, it was a real hit for her!
 Jelly fish
Kinley is checking out the fish with Auntie Kara and Grandpa
 Looking at the sturgeon
Watching the sea lions with Kara and Adam
Kalia was almost more interested in the map of the aquarium than she was of all the animals.
This is where we go next mom!
I don't have pictures of all of our company that stayed with us.  But, we sure enjoyed having time with everyone...and Kalia will forever talk about the aquarium!
