A little suprise!

I was so excited when I woke up this morning to HUGE snow flakes falling! I have been enjoying every glance out the window and seeing the beautiful white snow! Some may think i'm crazy but, I really miss having snow during the winter! Growing up with several feet of it for months on end, makes it kind of hard to adjust to rain all winter long (except for the freak storm at Christmas which dumped a foot of snow, that made me happy). We all have seasons we love, and I'm sure most of us live in places where we love the weather. It's not that I don't enjoy Seattle, I just need a little bit of snow sometimes! So, thanks to the weather for giving me a little of the white stuff. You made my day!

Lazy Days

We had a wonderful weekend!! We had no plans so we were on our own to do WHATEVER we wanted! So... we slept in, indulged in a huge breakfast in downtown Issaquah, went for a little hike at Tiger Mnt., had dinner and played games with friends, and quite simply..... relaxed! It was wonderful!
~
Here are a few 'goofy' pictures from our hike at Tiger Mnt.
A little forest humor!
Peeking!

HEART FELT!

Our first Valentine's Day together was spent in Rupert, ID at my parents house. The first picture below is the real reason we went home to celebrate Valentine's. My brother Ryan has had these new wheels and tires for almost a year. But he couldn't put them on until he put a lift on the pickup because the tires were too tall. He finally got the lift, so we all (Ryan, Malia, Kamea, Shane and I) piled into the pickup for the 10 hour drive home. On top of all this excitement, Kenyon, Julie, and Korbin came home from Nevada to help Ryan with his lift.
~
Here are all the boys checking out the new ride!! Looks pretty sharp Ryan!
Dad and Mom were thrilled to get time with their grandkids! Dad took Korbin out to plow snow before Sunday. His favorite thing to do when he comes home to the farm.I tried to make a Red Velvet Cake for Shane, but unfortunately........ it got stuck in the cute heart shaped pan I was using! I guess perfection doesn't matter as much once you're married! :)
So.... Mom made up for it with our favorite heart shaped sugar cookies!!!
Shane and Korbin had a wonderful time playing in the snow. Korbin wanted so badly to go down the slide, until he got to the top.... then Shane had to bring him back down!
This is my favorite picture. Shane and Korbin will always be best buds!
Thanks Ryan for needing to put a lift on your pickup so we could all come home. And thanks Mom and Dad for all the love you show to us! WE LOVE YOU!

The 3 F's. Good Friends, Family, and Food!!

We had a wonderful weekend! A friend of ours (Nathan Egge) turned 18 this weekend so we helped celebrate with a game of broom ball and a pizza party. I had never heard of broom ball, so this was exciting to watch!! It's just like hockey except you wear your tennis shoes, and use brooms for sticks. Shane is the one in the green shirt facing off.He scored a goal after this shot!! That's my boy!
Saturday night we played games at Ryan and Malia's with Marcus and Kristin Sanchez.
Malia and I (not being bread makers) tried our hand at making our sister in law's sweet rolls. We still have a lot to learn about making bread!!!! But......At least they were still edible!

And....you can never mess up rolls when you put some cinnamon, sugar, and icing on them! They were delicious!! Thank you Malia!
