Good Days!

First I have to share some adorable pictures of Kalia! At least I think they are adorable :)! Grandma Elizabeth was here for a few days this week and Kalia decided she would start sleeping for several hours during the night. So... we are enjoying some restful nights! FINALLY!I asked Shane if he would like to change a diaper and he happily agreed! When I came in to check on him this is what I found!! :) Too funny! I sure had a good laugh!!!Such tiny little feet!We had an absolutely beautiful day here on Saturday so... we got out of the house!!! The Issaquah Salmon days are next week, but we decided to check out the hatchery early. The salmon come to the Issaquah creek to lay their eggs. So the hatchery close the ladders so they can harvest the eggs. Here is a picture of a HUGE salmon trying to jump over the ladder. We went home after the hatchery but just couldn't stand to waste such a beautiful evening. So, we went up the Snoqualmie Falls and enjoyed the sun setting on the falls! The beautiful Snoqualmie Falls.

Wow, it felt so good to get out and enjoy the day. I am looking forward to more beautiful fall days!!

One week old!

We finally got discharged from the hospital on Sunday. Feels good to be home, but it's a whole new world here! We are loving our sweet little one so all the changes and lack of sleep get wiped away when you look at her. We have had lots of family visiting and helping out this week which is and has been greatly appreciated! How would we get everything done without their help? I'm happy to not have to think about that right now!

Shane getting ready to change a diaper! (Yeah, I trained him well!!)
Taking a break before we walk out of the hospital!Shane and proud auntie Kara!!Grandpa and Grandma KleppenAnother proud auntie Julie! Our sweetness. I couldn't decide on one of these two so, you get to look at both. Notice the Nike shoes that her uncle Trent got for her. He is a pretty proud uncle since she was born on his birthday!! An attempt to get all the Miller grand kids in a picture. Not easy, but... this is what we got!

We are so happy to be home finally and that everything worked itself out at the hospital. It's reassuring to know we have a healthy little one! Thanks again to everyone for their help and support through all of this!

Kalia swallowed some mucus when she was born. So....... she has been in the NICU. She is off oxygen now, and we are just waiting for her breathing rate to go down before they will discharge her. Other than that, she is one healthy little girl!
