Pumpkin Carving

We hosted a pumpkin carving party this weekend. Nothing spooktacular, just a gathering of friends to carve pumpkins. As always, fun was had by all! While the ladies fed and played with babies, the guys were creative and carved the pumpkins!
There was a little baby swapping going on too! John read to Kalia,
While Shane held John's little girl Paige.
and a picture of the mommas and babies!
Eli and Paige are only 3 weeks apart and they were having such a fun time talking to each other. It was so cute!
The pumpkins show their faces.
I'd say the guys did a fantastic job.
Have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!

Keeping us entertained!

There is no shortage of entertainment around here! Even though she isn't walking yet, she sure knows how to get around. Or, stay close by. I am often stepping over her, getting my pants/skirts tugged on, swatting fingers away from the key board, phone screen, or a freshly swept dirt pile. You get the picture, she is everywhere you want to be! But, we love this sort of entertainment, because soon she will be running away.
~
This day we got a sweet surprise in the mail box. A box of blocks from Great Grandma!
Oh how she LOVED them!Stacking...
and more stacking.
Story time with dad (monkey and her bear!)! She would have you read books to her all day if you had the time! She loves to be read too!
Earlier in the day I let her feel and smell these beautiful flowers Shane picked up for me at Pikes Market. So, when I heard her whimpering, talking, and pointing to these I knew what she wanted. She loves to smell them and wanted to do it again!
She wants to be everywhere you are, AND.... eat WHATEVER you are eating. It has to come right off of your plate or out of your hands! So, I let her have my apple. That kept her busy for quit some time! :)

Just a funny picture of her wanting to get in the way of the camera
My sister in laws and their families got this awesome lady bug scooter for Kalia's birthday. She is finally starting to play with it. Since she can't walk she just pushes it around on her knees and it always makes me laugh. It is just so cute!
So, that's all that has been happening around here. It's been pretty quiet, but we have been enjoying ourselves. The holidays are approaching and we hope to have some fun times to share with you.

Found

Glad I found these pictures!!
A couple weekends ago my cousin Taylor joined us for dinner and marshmallow roasting. He had just gotten a new camera, so he enjoyed using Kalia as his subject matter!
Oh, and a sweet picture of the flowers on my table at the moment.

Kalia's Days.

Not much to report here. Just life. And so....our days are full, even if there isn't much to show for it. But....I do have a few photos of Kalia over the past couple of days. Which I know the Grandmas will be excited about! :)
~
I have been trying for a month to get Kalia to drink milk. Still no luck!! Do I have to put chocolate in it to get her to like it?!!!!:) I don't know. But, she loves the carton! She turned it and pointed at it for some time, and even "mooed" at the cow. It was pretty cute.
She is exploring EVERYTHING! This is an apple puzzle that she was checking out very intently!
Rocking her monkey! :)
She loved being inside this bouncy seat... but now that she is too tall for it, she gets just as much joy out of walking around the outside of it! Glad we have kept it out!
Story time with daddy!
And....
her most recent thrill! Climbing the stairs!!!!! Just all the sudden. Sunday morning I couldn't find her down stairs, and i was quit perplexed. So, I frantically started searching the house, and found her quietly sitting in her chair in her room reading a book! I couldn't believe it. I suppose one day she'll just decide to walk too! No baby steps, just full on walking!
Well.... that's all for now. We'll see what the next week brings us.
Until then, enjoy your days!
