It was our mission this weekend to avoid down town Seattle because Sea Fair was going on. That means city wide traffic jam!! So... we (Shane, Malia, Kamea, and I) took our little feet on a beautiful hike in the Cascades! After a 3 mile hike, we found ourselves in awe over these beautiful mountain lakes. The perfect escape from Seattle traffic!

First up, Talapus Lake. We didn't spend much time here as we were anxious to see what the next one had to offer! 
Our destination, Olallie Lake. I was absolutely beautiful! The water is usually cold because it is primarily snow melt but, after a couple of our 100 degree days, there was no chance for it to be cold.
Shane was helping Kamea cool off.

It was such a wonderful day! We are looking forward to going back and taking pool floats so we can basque in the sun! And hopefully take Ryan along with us this time!
