Our Summer Vacation

Vacations for our family usually means traveling to visit other family members. This year we visited family and also took some time to actually vacation and be a tourist. We had a wonderful time.
First stop: Ennis, MT to stretch our legs.
Beautiful view of the mountains.
Kalia picked out these chocolate rocks and nibbled on them for most of the trip!
We had to get a picture by the bear with all three kids.  We have one of Kalia when she really little. Its hard to believe she is almost 5!
We admired the beautiful art work in the middle of this quaint little town.
We always enjoy our strolls through this little town whenever we have a chance.  And this time a little incident happened that made us love this little town a little bit more.
As we were sitting down to eat our lunch before heading out of town, we shared a good hearty laugh with a couple sitting next to us. They finished their meal, said good-bye to us, commented on how fun our children were to watch and away they went. Some time later, were finally got everyone fed, cleaned up, and ready to hit the road. Shane went up to the front desk to pay, only to find out that someone had paid for our meal.
Oh, how I wish I could see that couple again and thank them for their generosity! We will forever remember this when we are passing through this little town.
Next stop: Idaho to visit my family.
We woke up the first morning to a beautiful sunrise.
A great way to start our vacation!
After a couple of days of farm business meetings we played tourist and I took my family around to several places near and around my home town.
This is Shoshone Falls. Looking down into the Snake River Canyon.
Then, we dipped our toes in the bottom of the canyon.
Admiring the scenery with the Perine Bridge in front of us.

I know this picture is blurry. But this day made me laugh. My sister in law and I took 6 kids shopping. The seats were packed and the back was LOADED down with our Costco goods! We were fully loaded!
My dear mother celebrated a notable birthday this year.  So, we treated her to her first massage and pedicure. She was rather impressed! :)
Celebrating with cake and almost all 8 grandkids. Korbin was there, he is just not visible in this picture.
Playing with cousins.
Whose this little cutie peeking out of the door?
Adrie with her great grandma!
Lynae had a little fun with the kids. She traced each of the them and then drew in their faces, etc. Too cute!
All that partying required baths. Adrie was having so much fun watching.
On our last day in Idaho, my good friend came down to visit. The kids had a blast together!!!
 Playing a little game.
A picnic is better with friends
Even though our time together was short, it was sweet!
Oh, these days were precious. We always wish we could stay longer.
Maybe next time...
(hopefully i'll get more pictures up soon)

What a fun time we had when you were here, and like always, wish you could have stayed longer. I'm "OK" with being 60 if this is how I get treated. Such nice pictures. Thanks!
