More snow and sweet guests.

Well, we had a rough couple of days this week with lots of snow, freezing rain, and a power outage. It was an interesting day and night trying to figure out how to live without modern conveniences. One in particular, was the internet!!! We managed to stay warm if we were really close to the fire, we could light our gas stove with a match and cook food, we had candles and an oil lamp for light, but....after hours of not being able to do anything (or go anywhere) you really start to miss your internet! :) One evening we took Kalia out in our yard wagon
(since we never thought we would need to buy a sled).Pretty happy little girl!My brother and his family stayed with us for an evening right when the big storm hit, and ended up staying an extra day. Partially snowed in, and partially because the pass kept closing on them.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and loved that they got to stay an extra day!!

After dinner babysitting!
Baby Kenzi is LAYING ON THE TABLE while the boys play on their phones, computer, or Kindle Fire...
hmmmm....I found Kalia and Kamea reading books together.
Too cute!And... Uncle Shane helping Kamea read to ALL the kids!I let Kamea lick the spatula after making a jello salad. Malia told me to watch out because "she'll lick the color right off of it." Well, the color wasn't gone, but it was SUPER clean! And a picture in the quickly accumulating snow before they braved the roads back to Idaho. Stay warm!

Sweet pictures, you got more snow than we did! We got lots and lots of rain but very little snow.
Sure is fun to see Kamea and Kalia reading together, cute!
