Turkey day in Idaho

Like my mother in law says "We are fat and happy" after a week of Thanksgiving food and family!
Now to work on reducing the fat and increasing the happiness! Hmmm... I can manage the happiness, but the fat part is always a challenge! Good thing the thanksgiving leftovers got LEFT in Idaho!

We had a WONDERFUL time at home. It's so hard to leave and come home to a quiet house when you've just spent close to a week with lots of family. But, then it makes it easier to treasure those moments.

We had the privilege of having Rod and Debi (Malia's parents) join us for Thanksgiving. It's always a pleasure to have them around!

Rod taught Shane a little about carving a turkey! Thank you Rod!It's tough work taking care of a newborn!

More story time pictures with Grandma. I take these because it is a rare moment when she will let someone else hold her. So, these are precious times for me AND for the grandmas, grandpas, and aunties!

The day after Thanksgiving, we spared ourselves the agony of holiday shopping and spent our time celebrating a birthday for a very special sister in law and auntie. We had pizza, then ice cream cake, and......then we watched Santa prance around the town square, turn on the Christmas lights, and put on a spectacular firework show!

Kalia did not understand what all the fuss was about. She just wanted to go back inside where it was warm and eat more ice cream cake!

And then, there was a reception held for this beautiful couple. So, we got to watch them shove cake in each others mouth again!

She is tall for her age, but still not quite tall enough to see over the table!

Little miss Kamea found my boots and proceeded to show us how she can walk in them! Too cute!

So, this is what its like to have Thanksgiving at the Millers. Always tons of food and always a good time had by all! It feels so good to be "Fat and Happy!!!!"
